Each mug has been specifically handcrafted to fit the reusable stainless steel tea strainer that is included in this gift set. A snug fit ensures that all of the lovely oils and aromas in the teas stay in your brew...not escaping into the air!
 
Each mug is completely unique and there are slight variations between them all, but the speckled effect on these handleless huggy mugs comes from a wonderful clay called chocolate spot. This has iron and manganese in the body so when it’s fired the iron blooms on the surface to give a unique spotting pattern.
 
There are four highly speckled and four slightly less speckled as can be seen in the images, all with Adam’s signature blue glaze.
 
Stoneware mugs are very durable and these are a thick and sturdy design so they hold the heat of the tea well.
